PICMG publishes master glossary
PICMG has posted a new reference document on its Web site. The PICMG Master Glossary contains a compilation of the definitions used in PICMG specifications, making it one of the most comprehensive glossaries in the industry.
WAKEFIELD, Mass., USA – September 17th, 2007 – PICMG has posted a new reference document on its Web site. The PICMG Master Glossary contains a compilation of the definitions used in PICMG specifications, making it one of the most comprehensive glossaries in the industry.
The PICMG master glossary was compiled by the Requirements Engineering Subcommittee and released as it completed its work. The committee collected the glossaries from the different PICMG specifications that included AdvancedTCA®, Advanced Mezzanine Card™,MicroTCA™, CompactPCI®, CompactPCI®Express and reconciled differences to compile a glossary with over 350 definitions.
“This glossary is a valuable resource for anyone working in the modular computing and telecommunications world as it contains many terms not clearly defined elsewhere” said Dick Somes, PICMG's Technical Officer.
