congatec COM Express Type 2 module with 3rd generation Intel Core processor
The conga-BP77 3rd generation Intel Core modules based on the COM Express Type 2 connector pinout has been released by congatec. Supporting a PCI Express Graphics (PEG) 3.0 port capable of 8 GTps and the Intel Core’s 22 nm, 3D trigate transistor technology, the conga-BP77 is ideal for applications demanding high-end graphics performance. As the PEG connection is established on a custom carrier board, by leveraging the conga-CEVAL evaluation carrier board with the conga-BP77 proprietary solutions can be easily developed.
Four SATA interfaces up to 6 GBps with RAID support, six PCIe 2.0 lanes, eight USB 2.0 ports, one GbE, and one EIDE provide substantial I/O while also supporting VGA, LVDS, DirectX 11, OpenCL 1.1, and OpenGL 3.1 is also included. Fan control, LPC bus, and Intel HD audio complete the set of interfaces. Available in Intel Core i7 (Intel Core i7-3612QE/ Intel Core i7-3555LE) and Intel Core i5 (Intel Core i5-3610ME) processor versions, the modules range from 2.5 to 4 x 2.1 GHz performance, from 3 MB to 6 MB of Smart Cache, and operate between 25 W and 35 W. Intel’s QM77 Express chipset is also supported, offering dual channel 16 GB DDR3 memory at 1600 MTps. UEFI firmware is also standard, overlaying embedded BIOS features.
