The H.110 Computer Telephony bus simulation

CompactPCI AdvancedTCA and MicroTCA Systems — April 1, 1998

Articles, Telecommunications: Spring 1998Before the initial CompactPCI specification was published, AMP Incorporated (Harrisburg, PA) conducted extensive modeling and simulation to verify that the electrical specifications would provide reliable operation. Because of AMP's experience, the Enterprise Computer Telephony Forum's Hardware Components Working Group (the creators of the H.110 CT Bus specification) and the PICMG CompactPCI Telecom Interest Subcommittee approached AMP to conduct the simulation for their H.110 specification, which defines the computer telephony (CT) implementation of CompactPCI. In this article, Tim summarizes the results of AMP's H.110 simulations.
